CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: I-83 Poetry Anthology Hear ye! Hear ye! The Almost Uptown Poetry Cartel Wants YOU! It’s the Cartel’s 10th Anniversary! Ten years of poetry and spoken word, 10 years of road trips! Ten years of wanderlust: from coffeehouse to stage to the mean streets of regional writing workshops and grottos – and all points beyond, celebrating poets, literati, and spoken-word enthusiasts. Lotta good poetry out there on the road. I-83 is a unique interstate highway that runs only from Baltimore to Harrisburg. We've taken 83 to many readings. Its southern terminus is in Baltimore at the Fayette Street exit; its northern terminus-- in Harrisburg at Interstate 81. And York is smack dab in the middle. Sort of. So, now, as part of our anniversary hoopla, the Almost Uptown Poetry Cartel is putting together an anthology of work from the best poets along the I-83 corridor. The only requirement for consideration is proximity to interstate I-83! Entries will be accepted by e-mail only, and must include, on each entry, a cover letter along with the poem(s).
